TLV743P: Tha maximum power disspation of TLV743P

Part Number: TLV743P

Hi

As long as I look Fig31 of TLV743's datasheet, I think the maximum power dissipation at Ta=57.9℃ is about 0.29W.
But I calculated the Tj under Pd=0.32W, Tc=72.4℃ and Ta=57.9℃, Tj is 82.5℃.
Could I use this device that condition?

Best regards,

Yokota

  • Hi Yokota,

This device is rated at 125C. Tj=82.5C should have no problem.

  • Hi Jason-san

    Thank you for the reply.
Please let me ask further questions.
In the sentences of "9.1.3 Power Dissipation", figure 31 become the data about DQN package.
However in Figure 31, it is written DBV package.
    Which is correct?

Ambient temperature in figure 31 is min_55℃.
May I assume that the relation ambient temperature and power dissipation are comparson even under 55℃?

    Best regards,

    Yokota

  • Hi Yokota-san,

DQN is a typo as this device only has DBV package. We will correct this mistake in our next datasheet revision. Thanks for pointing it out.

In figure 31, 55C means the maximum estimated temperature for normal operation of the device hen you have 0.3 W power dissipation. It seems the curve is pretty linear, you should be able to extend it as your thermal reference.
