TINA/Spice/TPS23754EVM-383: power efficency of TPS23754EVM-383 in higher temperature (+85°C) and simulation file

Part Number: TPS23754EVM-383
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, , TPS23754

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi

where can I download the simulation file of TPS23754EVM-383 evaluation board exportable under "TINA90-TI"?

Can I simulate this temperature architecture for control its power output up to 85 ° c?

Can I load the power output of this board to a power (10w) less than max (25w) without having any effect on the frequency spectrum in input and output.

Is the production of the TPS23754 and its evaluation card guaranteed over 20 years

 Thanks

  • Hello,

I have notified our PD expert about your questions.

    Thanks,
    Thomas A.
  • Hi User5057133,

Unfortunately, we do not have a TINA spice model for our PoE devices.

For the frequency spectrum, do you mean EMI noise? Also do you mean change between power levels or with time? I do expect the frequency spectrum of noise, for example, to be different at different power levels (higher noise at higher power). But I don't expect it to vary much with time as long as the system is operating within it's recommended operating conditions.

For lifecycle, I recommend reviewing the FIT data of the TPS23754. In the end, this is a system level spec and life cycle testing should be tested with the whole product (prototype).
  • Hello
Yes I am talking about frequency emi spectrum.
We have selected this poe evaluation board TPS23754EVM-383 because it supply 12 output volatage however the power is far superior to our need.
The power provided by the PSE for our application is 10w typical with a pick to 15w when powering up our PD
So I need to know at 85 ° C that it is the available power output of this TPS23754EVM-383 evaluation board when the PD clamps its output power to 10w typical over the life of the system.
    Thanks

  • Hello,

85C falls within the recommended operating temperature limits for the TPS23754. The EVM is capable of providing 10W at this temperature, but has not undergone life cycle testing.
  • Hello,

Yes I know this point!  (temperature level are setting at 80°C )

It's important for me to know level of power efficency end to end at +80°C

    Thanks

  • Hi User,

Typically the efficiency at high temp will be tested by an end equipment level so we don't test it at an EVM level. However, a conservative estimate given the increase in switching losses and higher resistances at higher temperature levels is 3% hit at high temp.
