LMZ34202: AGND and PGND layout recommendation

Part Number: LMZ34202
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00808,

Hi Team,

I have a question about your guidelines for connecting AGND and PGND for the LMZ34202. The datasheet recommends keeping these separate and allowing the device to connect them since they are internally connected. However the EVM has a copper bridge and other reference designs don't even keep the planes separate (TIDA-00808 for example). I actually can't find a real hardware example where the datasheet advice is implemented.

So it appears that either would work, but which would be preferred given additional external noise sources once this part is put next to other electronics in a real system.

Thanks!

Nate
