TLV760: as a current source

I am not sure if this will work due to the floating GND. I will try doing this on the bench and let you know. We may have to change the LDO to account for thermals.

I have another question also, Please see below the question from the customer.

I looked at the Spice model of the TLV760 today. It is noticeable to me, that after the input voltage at the TLV760 is applied this 800μs needed until the output voltage is regulated. This behavior is not described in the data sheet.

 

 

Is this behavior only to be found in the model or does this behavior also belong to the properties of the component?
The measurement was a much shorter time between voltage application and voltage output LDO.

Hi Needhu,

Based on the quick bench test I did it didn't seem to create any problems using the TLV760 as a current source, but I would recommend switching the LDO to the other side of the black box it will always have a good ground reference.

As for the startup the model does not look correct the startup from your waveform shown looks more like the typical startup that is expected.
