BQ24113: bq24113, bq24115 / Application example for NiMH battery

Hi,

As description in top page of DS, bq24113 and bq24115 may be used for NiMH battery but it need to detect full charge by PVD or dv/dt. Does bq24113/5 operate as constant current regulator and PVD or dv/dt detection should be detect externally? Please share the example application circuit if you have.

Yes, the detection is done externally. You can use CMODE and /CE to control the charger based on the termination method.

I suggest looking at the bq2000 family of devices, they are used for NiMH battery charging.
