Hi,

I have two power sources that I need to combine, one from a step down converter (LMR14006) and the second from a step up converter (TPS61072). I can do this by switching the outputs but it would be convenient if I could connect the outputs and switch the enable lines. Is this possible or not recommended?

Add the diode at the output of two IC if you want to connect them together. Then you can use enable to control them

Hi,

For LMR14006: Vin-a, Vout-a

For TPS61072: Vin-b, Vout-b

When TPS61072 is working, make sure Vin-a is always ON and higher than Vout-b,

When LMR14006 is working, Vin-b must be lower than Vout-a.

If above condition is OK, then you can connect Vout-a with Vout-b and switch output by enable each chip.
