TPS61176: No boost use case

Hello team,

I have a quick question about TPS61176 use case.
Is it acceptable if a user doesn't use the boost converter?
(e.g. both 5V for Vin and 24V for LEDs can be provided)

Hi Shinya,
If you don't use boost, you need to control LED Vf very well so that the headroom voltage of each current sink is still in the normal range. Otherwise, the LED open or LED short fault will be triggered and the device is disabled.
May I know what is your application and what is the end equipment? why the Boost is not needed and what's the purpose of using TPS61176 in your application? you want to use hybrid dimming?
