LM36011EVM: LM36011EVM How to generate this type of waveform?

Part Number: LM36011EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM36011, LM3642

Dear sir,

I want to generate this kind of waveform.

1.4A last for 2.4s, and than change to 0.86A last for 20s, and than 0A last for 5.5s, and than 0.61A last for 20s. It also needs to repeat.

As figure below. (This current will flow into LED)

Can I using the given GUI to generate this kind of waveform?

Or at least generate a 1.4A current last for 20 seconds.

Can we get sample code for the MSP432?

Or any suggestion method to achieve?

Thanks.

  • Hi Hao Lo,

    Thank you for your question.

LM36011 is not really designed for this application. Its max flash time-out setting is 1.6sec. However, this configuration may be implemented by using multiple LM36011s in parallel and writing some automation routine to control a function generator, make it periodic and change register settings to change LED current.

I'd recommend you to look into other products (such as LM3642 etc) that might better suit for your application. If you still want to use LM36011 and have resources/expertise to implement, I can help you with the suggestions.
