TPS22922: Power Sequence

Hi,

Just checking - suppose i connect the TPS22922 ON pin to 3.3V, then at some point later set VIN to 1.8V.    Note this is kind of the opposite of the sequence in its datasheet.   Question is, will the part behave correctly i.e. allow VIN to VOUT, then later if ON is 0V will VIN be disconnected from VOUT.

    Hi Larry,

    If the ON pin is up before the VIN pin, then the device will not be damaged. The downside to this sequencing order is that the output voltage rise time may no longer be controlled, and VOUT may just follow VIN. If the ON pin is brought low, the part will still turn off.
