TPS543C20EVM-869: TPS543C20EVM-869

Part Number: TPS543C20EVM-869

With regard to TPS543C20EVM-869, 80-A Dual Phase Stackable Evaluation Module, I notice its default output voltage is set to 0.9V for this evaluation board. If I order this evaluation board, is there a way to change a resistor to allow me to test this eval board at a higher output voltage of 4V?

Also is this module EMI testedand is  the inductor used in evaluation board is shielded?

Regards

Rony

  • You can set the output voltage to other voltages than the default. In the default state, the output voltage is set by choosing 0.9 V as the internal reference via 51.1 kohm from VSEL to GND, so no FB resistor divider is required. To adjust above 1.1 V, you need to set the reference as you desire then configure the FB and remote sense as required by using R3 and R10 on the master converter. I suggest you read the datasheet carefully in this regard.

I do not see any EMI data for this EVM.

    The inductor is shielded.
  • Hi

I was doing initial test with the TPS543c20EVM-869 board at Vout=0.9V. I followed procedure in setting up powersupply and load to this board. However, when I start increasing load from 0A, it goes to max 4.8A and Vout on load goes to 0.3V. I am using a 500mm cable from output terminals to DC load and same from power supply to input terminals of board.

Can you advise what might be at fault, maybe I am not doing some setting on the board before testing?
