Hi
We got a question from customer about TPS22971.
They desire slew rate 25mV/μs at turn off.
How is the slew rate determined at turn off?
Thanks.
Sincerely.

Hi user,
The turn off slew rate is not controlled by the device. Instead, the MOSFET is shut off in a few microseconds (preventing the output from being powered) and the fall time is dependent on how quickly the output load discharges the output capacitance. Because the current draw of the load is likely fixed, the fall time can be adjusted by modifying the output/load capacitance. Also, the TPS22971 has an internal output pulldown (150Ω) that will contribute to discharging this capacitance.

Hi user,
The load capacitance is the capacitance at the input of the load. This is tied to the VOUT pin of the load switch.
