LM2647: lm2647

Part Number: LM2647
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2674

The dual buck regulator LM2657 is obsolete and the customer has tested the alternative being LM2657 successfully.

LM2657 is specified for -40 to 125C, LM2647 for -5 to 125C.

The application is an outdoor camera so lower than -5C is a requirement.

The customer conducted cold start tests at -40C with the LM2674, measurements look good. The difference in performance at room temp and -40C is very limited.

The customer feels confident that the LM2647 will work reliably at -40C but what bothers them is that the device is not specified by TI down to -40C.

What is the reason the LM2647 is not specified down to -40C
