UCD9244: UCD9244+ UCD74120 SMART REFLEX variable supply to TCI6638K SOC part

Part Number: UCD9244
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD74120

UCD9244+ UCD74120 K2H EVM Query

I wanted to understand the Configuration for these ICs using Fusion Digital software.

What all inputs I need to prepare and how it works?

Also It is powering the variable core voltage of the TCI6638K2K SOC part. How is the variable voltage controlled? How is the output inductor decided here when it is not a fixed output voltage?

I am new to this part and I would appreciate if you can guide me through this.

  • UCD9244 has VID inputs. SOC can adjust voltage through VID pins. Other configurations are downloaded into the device through Fusion GUI. Please refer to UCD9244 technical documents for details.

Inductor value should be determined by the worst case scenario.

  • Zhiyuan,
How to configure the smart reflex VID value mapping using fusion GUI?
Referring sprab0 document I see a table which is from 0.7V to 1.1V - How is it defined there? Is it with load current sensing? Also the TCI6638K2K part variable supply range is from 0.8V to 1.1V .
Do you have any sample config file to check the same?

For the VID configuration, apart from the VID value mapping, what other configuration to be defined?

I do see same PMBUS address for both UCD9244 part U16 and U25 mentioned as 4Eh. please clarify.

    Regards,
    Vidhya
