Can I use UCC2893D in AC/DC offline application

UCC2893D is used for DC/DC controller, UCC2894D can be used as AC/DC offline controller. Can I use UCC2893D in AC/DC offline application? I have this question because I did use UCC2893D for AC/DC application with PIN16 floating. It is an AHB topology power supply. I found that the MOSFET driver/UCC2893D/MOSFET could be damaged during power off. It looks like that the UCC2893D lose output control during power off...
