Part Number: BQ34Z100

Hello,

I am seeking advice for what the device markings for part# BQ34Z100 indicate. Below is a customer example.

34Z100

33K G4

D85Y

The customer is aware that the BQ34Z100 is now NRND; they are migrating to the BQ34Z100-G1, but are also dealing with some device failures and wish to understand what these codes (2^nd & 3^rd lines) mean. Could you explain these?

Hi Peter,

These markings are for part traceability.

Also, G4 indicates that the devices uses an ROHS compliant mold compound.

Please let me know if the switch to the BQ34z100-G1 rectifies the issue.

Thanks for the reply - can you specify what the "33K" and "D85Y" codes mean?

HI Peter,

I cannot release that information, however, these values are used for part traceability.

Could you explain in more detail what the issue is with these parts? Have the issues been seen with parts with other trace markings as well, or only these devices?

Was the customer able to successfully switch over to the G1 version, and if so, has the issue been resolved in this manner?
