EV2300: Availability of BQ 20862EVSW to use with BQ2050H

Part Number: EV2300

We have a product that we are supporting that uses the battery fule gauge BQ2050H and we had been using the EV200 programmer and now need to move to the EV2300 and I was told we could do this using software package bq20862EVSW which TI support said was no longer available.

Does anyone know of a place where I can get the bq20862EVSW evaluation software and a manual so I can learn how to use it?

Hi Dave,

Are you looking for a release of EVSW? For SBS 1.1 compliant gauges, other versions of EVSW may be utilized to send commands in advanced mode. I will update this thread tomorrow with more information specifically with respect to the bq2050H and bq20862EVSW.

If you are looking to develop with the EV2300 or EV2400 directly, you may utilize the EV2300 Customer Development kit, found here:

Hi Dave,

Please download www.ti.com/.../sluc367 and use a device in the list that has HDQ for communications using the HDQ Pro screen.

Hi Dave,

Please pick an alternative device that supports HDQ, such as the bq78z100 and use the PRO HDQ screen. If you are still having errors, please post screenshots of the issue.
