PTN78000W: briefly reverse connected

Can the module take a reversed 24V for about 20 seconds?  It appears to work with proper 24V input.

    It is not recommended to apply 24V   to Vout pins .on PTN78000W . It is recommend to add a blocking diode between the external 24V and V output  see diagram below. Evaluate  any external output capacitors on output bus for voltage ratings.
