BQ24650: Looking for an efficient solution to charge a 2 cell LiPo from a solar panel

Part Number: BQ24650
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25570, BQ25505

Hey,

I am wondering if anyone can point me at chip able to charge a 2 cell LiPo (cells in series), while being able to efficiently use very low currents supplied by a solar panel in indirect sunlight.

MPPT is not as important of a feature due to the small size of the panel in question and the operation of condition of the device (often in indirect sunlight).

To give some background, The solar panel is rated for 11V, the part currently used (BQ24650) works well in direct sunlight when current provided is over 15mA, under that number, the IC starts consuming more current than panel can provide and actually start draining from the batter pack.

I am really looking for something from the "Nano power" lineup that can work with 2 cell LiPo.

Any ideas is that exists?
