UCD90160A: What can I use to program UCD90160A in-circuit with JTAG?

I'll be getting prototype boards soon, with blank UCD90160A's soldered to the board. I have a header connected to all the JTAG pins of the 90160. So my questions are:

1. Can I somehow program these with my UCD90SEQ64EVM-650 board?

2. Does TI have a different board I should use to program these?

3. Is there a 3rd-party device that can utilize your programming files?

Or do I need the full Corelis tool set ($$$) that the factory will ultimately want to use?

UCD90160A can be programmed as long as your board has a I2C interface. You can order http://www.ti.com/tool/usb-to-gpio and connect the ribbon to your prototype board.

Download http://www.ti.com/tool/FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER software, so that you can program the deivce

#1. no, but you can generate the required file(data flash file) from EVM. the file can be download later with Fusion GUI after the dongle is connected to your prototype board

#2. They are many thrid parties who can help to pre-program the file into the device. but for you case(device was alreay soldered), step 1 is best for you.
