Part Number: LM46002-Q1

Hi Team,

The datasheet shows the following however I coudn't find detail defference between LM46002-Q1 and LM46002A-Q1.
>The LM46002A-Q1 version is optimized for PFM operation and recommended for new designs.

Could you tell me the detail difference?

  • SNVA816_Anon-A_FinalDraft.pdfTwo changes between A and non A versions:

    1. Roughened lead frame

    2. Improvement for PFM at light load and low vin conditions

    a. A version removes some of the variability we see in PFM entry point vs. the non A for more consistent behavior part to part

The A version is applicable when you have a customer who want a low quiescent current at low VIN and light load condition.

All device will transition from PWM mode to PFM mode as you ramp up the VIN.

On some of the non-A version of the part, this VIN entry point to PFM might be higher than others
