CSD18535KCS: driver for low side switching for boost

i am  not able to find an appropriate driver which can go from 3.3 to 10 V which is required for getting the low rds on of 1.7mohm. I am designing a boost converter where i am using this mosfet. i have searched a lot on the website for an appropriate driver and also from other vendors but none of them seems useful. Please suggest me the appropriate solution.

  • Sorry the voltage required to drive the power mosfet is 10V.

    Do you know how much peak drive current, package you need? Any other system constraints? Just curious, What search words/methods were you using to find a gate driver for your needs? What application will the boost converter be used for?

    For CSD18535KCS, @10V the gate charge is 63nC which is a decent size FET. Lowside drivers to check out:

    -The UCC2751x product family offers 4A symmetrical and asymmetrical drive capability in WSON or SOT-23 package which is a good option. 

    -The TPS2828 has 2A of drive in a SOT-23 package.

    -The UCC27531 offers 5A drive with higher VDD range in SOIC package.

    -The LM5112 has 7A drive in PowerPad

    i am using it for boosting the solar pannel voltage. i have a li-ion battery of 4.2V and nominal voltage is 3.5 to 3.3 V so i want the driver to work foe input voltage of 3 V and must boost 3V to required 10V gate drive voltage. I have not found ay such driver yet.

    Thanks for your reply. What your requiring is a boost converter from the battery to the supply bias of the gate driver. Unfortunately, in the high power drivers team there exists no such device. There may be a solution outside of the driver team. At first glance, there are some DRV driver devices that include integrated boost controller but might not have enough current. Another potential device solution can also be realized by selecting another CSD FET that is logic level or has an integrated power stage. I have informed the FET team and the DRV team of this thread so they can give more accurate suggestions.
