BQ25601: what happens if thermistor is damaged?

Hello team,

If I am using the bq25601 for temp compensated charging (say at 2.4A charge current) and the thermistor breaks or comes loose on a connection to the battery charger, what happens? Will the charger not charge or would it go into some low current safe mode?
