TPS780: Datasheet Inconsistencies

I'm looking for an LDO with ultra low Iq (~500nA like the TPS783) to go from 3.3V to 1.5V where output current isn't an issue. I found the TPS780 which says it has a fixed output voltage version down to 1.5V, but the Recommended Operating Conditions says that the output voltage should be between 1.8 and 4.2 and the product page says it only has a 1.8V fixed option. Which is the correct spec?

If the TPS780 does not work, are there any other LDOs with 500nA Iq that would work? Most of the other options I'm seeing are 1uA Iq like the TPS7A05.

    Hi Matt,

    I apologize for the confusion. The 1.5 V to 4.2 V range was originally intended to indicate the capability of releasing fixed voltages within the range. We will look into making it more clear.

    The Recommended Operating Conditions table range is not correct as it does not include the adjustable output version range (1.22 V to 5.25 V) and will be corrected in the next datasheet revision.

    The product folder and the Package Option Addendum which is appended to the end of the datasheet should list all the available options. I see fixed output Options for 1.8 V, 2 V, 2.3 V, 2.5 V, 2.7 V, 3 V, and 3.3 V. Could you clarify where you are only seeing 1.8 V?

    TPS7A05 and TPS709 are the lowest Iq devices available that have a fixed 1.5 V option released.

    Hi Ryan,

    Let me clarify: I'm seeing the same fixed output options as you. I meant to say that I only see as low as 1.8 and not 1.5V.
