TPS53667: Default value of the register which we can set by pin strap

Part Number: TPS53667

Is TPS53667 resistor default value changed by pin strap setting?

For example, DBh register set boot voltage level. In pin strap mode, boot voltage level is set by VBOOT pin resistor value.
When 0x47 is set by VBOOT pin, does DBh register default value become 0x47? Or is it 0x97?

And Is this operation the same about other registers?

Best Regards,
Kohei Sasaki

  • Hi Kohei,

The programming resistors will override the NVM default values. This is how it works for all the registers you can configure using the resistor setting option:

    1) Design the resistor dividers from VREF to GND to pick the options you want (VBOOT, IMAX, etc.)
    2) During soft start the controller reads the voltages on the configuration pins
    3) The controller then sets the value of the appropriate registers to their correct settings (VBOOT becomes 0x47h in your case)

    Thanks,

    Carmen
