What are the main advantages of the TPS25910 over the TPS2590?

    Hi Eli,

    Thanks for reaching out!. Let me know your system requirements and use case to suggest most suitable device.

    Both the devices are over-current protectors however there is functional difference in the overload response.
    TPS25910 limits the output current for an over-current event where as TPS2590 device provides circuit breaker function and allows transient overload to the load for fault interval set at CT pin.
    TPS2590 provides selectable latch & retry option whereas TPS25910 is auto-retry device
    TPS25910 provides access to GATE there by provides option for output voltage dvdt control.

    I just asked fr a quote for TPS2590 and got request to move to TPS25910......
    Are they P2P?

    Both have same package and pin count but not P2P compatible.

    Thanks for the schematic. If there is a possibility for schematic change, please look at our newly released part TPS2595.
    TPS2595 offers better current limit performance and is available in 2mm*2mm size
