BQ27532-G1: Alternative parts for BQ24251

I'm looking for a battery charger - gauge solution.

The BQ27532-G1 with BQ24251 appears to fit my needs, but the BQ2425x spec sheet says not to use the BQ24251 for new designs.

It appears that the BQ24297 is the replacement for the BQ24251.

Will the BQ27532-G1 work properly with the BQ24297?

If not, is there a gauge solution recommended for the B!24297?

Hi Ed,
Even though not recommeded for new designs, the we have a built EVM with both devices that functions just fine. i would recommend sticking with that.

Stick with which devices? The BQ27532-G1 with BQ24297? or the BQ2732-G1 with the BQ24251?

If the BQ24251 is no longer recommended for new designs, does that mean that production of that device will end soon?

BQ2732-G1 with the BQ24251 because we have a built functioning board with both devices on the evaluation module.
No, it does not mean the production of the device would end at all. It just means there is a newer device available.
