TPS54360EVM-182: Startup issue with EVM

I have a customer attempting to use the TPS54360EVM-182 EVM. Upon powering up, customer is observing nothing at the output.

VIN: 12V, EN: open

Device is pulling 300mA with no load.

No activity at the output even after applying small resistive load per EVM literature. Customer has also varied the load via an electronic load. Still nothing at the output.

Is this a startup issue with the part?

Hello Gregory,
Hard to say what is going on.
I just tested random TPS54360EVM-182 in my lab (load/no load, various Vin etc) and did not see any issues.
I would suggest first making sure that EVM is properly connected, and that there are no issues with setup. If all looks good, maybe try different EVM?

I have exactly the same issue at the moment. I have already replaced the converter but nothing changed.

Hello,
It appears that diode used on EVM is incorrectly marked (Anode vs Cathode).
If you have another diode available, please replace and test.

Thank you - that's it.

In that moment I was about to write that replacing the diode will bring the EVM to life and then I saw your answer.
