Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01232
We have tested the TPS7A47-Q1 LDO voltage regulator and it has excellent performance for our application of filtering the output of our DC-DC Converters (< 1mV rms output ripple measured) for the range of output voltages (from 3v6 to 28V) we require. Of interest to us is the low noise and very high PSRR of the TPS7A47-Q1 which our application demands. The only issue is that our application requires 2A and the TPS7A47-Q1 has only a 1A capability. Unfortunately, the LDOs with higher ampage have either much worse PSRR and/or do not handle the higher voltages. The question is whether two TPS7A47-Q1 can be wired in parallel and the inputs/outputs simply connected together or does one have to do something more complicated. Any comments, advice or first hand experience in doing this will be gratefully received.
