Hello, I'm Walter

I want to develop a iot sensor device with Li-poly battery.

So, I found BQ24076 for battery charger. I will use USB port for batter charge. And my device need 5V(same as USB power).

Here is my question.

1. If I want to use a battery as power source, do I need to attach addtional IC for discharge? Or it functioned as power source automatically?

2. As I kwow, BQ24076 doesn't have DC-DC converter function. So, what chip do I need to use fully charged battery.

3. I need some reference documents(circuit design) related BQ24076

    Your design (BQ24076 + Battery) will require 5V output when operating from the USB input power or from battery?
    What is the tolerance of output voltage, 5V +/-X% and output current needed?

    One option would be a buck boost converter on the OUT to increase or decrease output votlage, see TPS630XX family of devices.
