TPS53219: Can TPS53219 meet VIn=12V, Vout=3.3V, output current=26.8A and OCP=33A?

In datasheet, It describes that Wide Output Load Range: 0 A to > 20 A.

But it is a controller, can TPS53219 meet VIn=12V, Vout=3.3V, output current=26.8A and OCP=33A?

Is there any concern?

    Hello,
    This device is not recommended for new designs.
    Please check LM27403 or TPS40303 device or similar.
    You could also use Webench to enter your design specification and get recommendations as what device may be able to meet your requirements.

    TPS53219A is the alternative part. Also TPS53119 is a newer part with slightly different temp range.

    To answer your question yes it is okay to design for higher current as long as the design considerations are taken care of.
