Hi all,

I checked UCC25630x datasheet. But there is no word of "Latch".

OCP1 does not latch?

Could you get me a circuit example that is completely latched off by OCP1?

You know Japanese want to Latch, Chinese want to re-start.

I know OVP latch circuit PMP21098.

But another customer want to OCP latch.

Hi Hiroshi-san,

Thanks for your interest in UCC256303. OCP protection function does not latch off the circuit but auto-restarts every 1s. PMP21098 actually has an external OCP latch off circuit function. R212 is used to sense the secondary current and is fed to an amplifier. When the output of the amplifier exceeds the set point of U301, it engages the latch off circuit.

My customer do not want such a many parts cct.
No solution at primary side ?
Parts count requires additional mounting cost.
When we can see OVP and OCP latch off version IC?

Hi Hiroshi-san,

You can use the latch circuit formed by Q301, Q300, R308, R310, Q302, R313 and R316 on the primary side. You can use two diodes to rectify the ISNS signal and a comparator to trip the latch.

I am not able to comment on future IC versions on a public forum unfortunately.

Ben-san,

I want to reduce parts count.
Once RVCC voltege down under the "RVCC under voltage lock out voltage" IC will be latch?
ISNS --> Diode Rect and C --> MOSFET --> Zener --> R --> RVCC is best way?
Can you make this circuit?
