UCD9244: Consistent Problem with VOut with UCD9244

Part Number: UCD9244

We have a problem with the attached power supply, which was designed using your specs as reference.

  • When a rail is not enabled we measure essentially 0V on the output

  • Whatever value we select for Vout (including 0V), when we enable any rail, the Vout voltage changes to 1.1V

  • This happens for any or all rails.

We believe we programmed the UCD9244 correctly (no errors during programming).

Please review the attached schematic to confirm if we might have overlooked something.

  • Nothing jumps out as an issue from the schematic, can you send me the configuration file (project/system) created with the Fusion Digital Power Designer SW.

  • Hi Brad,

Thank you very much for getting back to me! We are controlling the power supply from a gate array and can’t connect it directly to program it from Fusion. So we used Fusion in offline mode.

I've appended the configuration file we generated with Fusion for our application. I also attached the file generated with Fusion for configuration via I2C  (CSV format).

With this or with any other config file for setting any voltage, the power supply outputs change to 1.1V without load, and with load they drops to 0V.

Please let us know what we did wrong.
