[FAQ] TPS43340-Q1: TPS43340-Q1 EN pin logic threshold.

Part Number: TPS43340-Q1

I’m evaluating TPS43340-Q1 on headunit project and found that the device is disabled when EN pin is ~1.0V. Is this expected behavior of the device’s EN pin logic threshold?

  • Hi Hyun Jun Cho,

Enable behavior between the min and max thresholds are likely not characterized. The limits defined in the datasheet are reliable, but behavior between these limits may vary from device to device. Looping in the device expert to confirm.

  • Hi Hyun Jun Cho,

Rick is correct, The threshold limits are positioned to guarantee that at these levels the enable threshold will be crossed.

According to the data sheet, if you pull the EN pin above 1.7V or below 0.7V you will cross the threshold for the enable circuit. A threshold between 0.9-1.1V is what we would expect.
