TPS62160-Q1: TPS62160-Q1 replaces TPS62160

Part Number: TPS62160-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62160

Hello,

I currently use the TPS62160 in WSON Packages by using the WEBENCH® Power Designer, and I would like to know if I can replace this component by 'TPS62160-Q1'?

And knowing that, I use it to convert an input voltage of 14V to 3.3V, in order to power a microcontroller and analog components (op-amp and ADC).

When reading their datasheets, I did not notice any differences between them, except the TPS62160 has two more features (Tracking and Voltage Margining) compared to the Q1 version.

Does this difference have an impact on my application?

I thank you in advance for your response.

Thank you.

There is no tracking or voltage margining feature in TPS62160 and TPS62160-Q1. Please check the part numbers to make sure you compare the right devices.
In general from a functional point of view there is no difference between the TPS62160 and the TPS62160-Q1. If you need a Q100 qualified device for an automotive application you should use the TPS62160-Q1.
