TLC5917: does toggeling the OE pin resets the latched output?

Hello,

I would like to use the TLC5917led driver to control 6 LED's in time multiplexed manner, I was wondering if it is possible to write the output D1-D7 once and dim them by using PWM on the OE pin?

Does pushing the OE pin low and back to high clear the latched output?

Hi,
OE pin is an enable pin. When OE is set to low, all output pins are enabled. If high, all output are off. But it won't affect latched data.

Hi Rosely,

Thank you for the answer, What I am trying to do is for example enaple output1 while the rest of the out puts are off, and then toggle this output(output1) at a rate of 4kHz only by toggeling the OE pin.

Is it possible to do that if setting the OE pin enabels all inputs?

Further explanation, I am trying to avoid to write into Data in pin repetedly for dimming a single led.
