LMZ14201: Enable pin - Pull-up question

Genius 13700 points
Part Number: LMZ14201
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3880

I have a customer in the sequencer Forum using the LMZ14201 with a LM3880 sequencer.

He has experienced a damaged sequencer when connecting the FLAG1 output of the LM3880 to the LMZ14201 Enable pin.

He is driving the LM3880 and the pull-up resistor on FLAG1 with 5V which is then connected to the Enable pin of the LMZ.

Can you confirm that the Enable pin of the LMZ14201 is pulled up to VIN internally?

In addition, I would assume that there is an internal Zener diode given that the Enable pin is limited to a maximum 6.5V.

In the LMZ's Detailed Design Procedure, there is a passing reference, shown below, to the inclusion of an internal pull-up but it is not mentioned anywhere else in the specification, not in the pin description or shown in the block diagram.  And did not notice any reference to internal pull-ups on most other LMZ products.

Thanks,

Brad
