BQ27520-G4: Step 5C why re-write the parameter ?

Hello,

Actually I perform a learning cycle for a Gauge BQ27520-G4, but I dont understand the step 5C : "Write Ra Table, Qmax, Cycle Count and Update Satus to Gauge".

In bqStudio, in "Data Memory" and "Gas Gauging" I found the parameter "Qmax Cell 0", "Cycle Count 0" and "Update Status 0" updated and in "Ra Tables" the list "Ra0 Table" is updated. I dont understand why and where these parameters should be copied.

The 5C step should be found in document SLUU426B "bq27520EVM With System-Side, Single-Cell Impedance Track Technology", Figure 15. bqStudio Flowchart

Hello Kevin,

These do not need to be copied. Once they are updated in your gas gauge, they are in flash.

But, why the value on the window "OCV tables" is not updated ? But the same value in "Data Memory" are updated and the "Update status" is in the state 2 ?

In another post e2e.ti.com/.../1314275 the first answer of dMax, he says to do everything manually.
For example he indicates to copy the value of Pack0 (if it is changed) to the others tables Def0 and Pack0 Rax, for me after the Learning cycle only the Pack0 is updated, so I shall to copy it ?

Yes, copy the learned Resistance table to the other tables including def0.

Hello,

Do you have a document up to date with all the step to be able to perform the learning cycle? Particularly from the step 5C?
For example, when all the step are performed, the IT_ENABLE must stay to 1?

Is not very clear the processus to perform the Learning cycle, there are many informations not all in the same document.

I am currently putting together a document for this device. It will be online next month.

In the meanwhile use this. This is a system side gauge, so the portion of the document related to the system gauge is what you should follow.
