BQ2205LY: Drive capability of 16-pin

Part Number: BQ2205LY

Hello.

Please let me know the drive capability (IoL) of 16-pin (\RST).

From the "TEST CONDITIONS" of "\RST output voltage" on page-3 of SLUS581, I think it is at least 1mA or more.

Regards,
Dice-K

  • hi Dice
Is there any reason you are using this device which has been NRND'ed? I would recommend you consider our newer gauges as the support for these older devices is limited. What is provided in the data sheet is all that we have available on that device at this time.
    thanks

  • Hello Onyx,
    Thank you for your reply.

My customer has been using BQ2205LYPW since 2007, and I am asking this time to investigate for a failure analysis.

As a thing that can be answered now, is it only that there is at least 1mA?

PS: No description of information that BQ2205LY is NRND could not be found.

    Best regards,
    Dice-K

  • Hi Dice,
Sorry for that misinformation. The device is so old that i automatically assumed that it was NRND. The drive current of that pin wasn't characterized and and such i am unable to provide a valid value. Also, The designers for that chip are no longer at TI.

    thankss
    Onyx
