LM3478: Minimum switching frequency of LM3478

Hi support team,

My customer wishes to know what is the lowest switching frequency of LM3478? The datasheet suggests the operating frequency between 100kHz to 1MHz, can they operate LM3478 around 50~80kHz? Any potential risk this might cause?

    Hi Wei-Hao,

    First, we have not characterized the device at that low frequency. And, I would not recommend for two reasons. 1st, you will get a huge solution size and high cost. 2nd, some internal signals like the slope compensation may become clamping owing to longer cycle time. Please follow the datasheet recommendations.
