LM4041C: Latch on in hotswap conditions

Part Number: LM4041C

Hello E2E,

I am posting on behalf of a customer.  When a voltage is hotswapped, this device will latch on and won't turn off.  If powered up normally, it works just fine.  Have you seen this behavior before?  The hotswapped voltage is 24V, but there is a zenar diode which should keep everything at 6.8V.  Then there is a 2.2kohm resistor to reduce current on top of that.

I have schematics and scope shots, so please reach out to me and I will send them your way.

Regards,

Russell
