TPS65262-2: load regulation

Hello, customer will use TPS65262-2 powering the Altera FPGA. it requires voltage accuracy from ext. DC/DC power shall be within +/-2.7% for 1.1V rail.

How to calculate the output voltage accuracy of the TPS65262-2 with 1% tolerance feedback resistor over temp range?

    I think the output accuracy can meet your requirement of +/-2.7% on 1.1V rail.

    1. The feedback resistance error can introduce error to output voltage. For 1.1V Vout, the worst case should be the resistance of RFBtop increased by 1%, while RFBtop decreased by 1%. In my calculation, the Vout will be about 1.110V, which contribute a 0.9% error to Vout.

    2. Another concern is from Vref. The accuracy is 1%, which also contribute a 1% error to Vout.

    Total error is about 1.9%.So it can meet your requirement of 2.7%.

    Also, please remember the estimation is based on the worst case. All the errors is set to be same polarity. In real case, I believe the Vout accuracy should be much better.
