Hi Support,
On the PMP5722 reference design:The thermistor seems to be monitoring the temperature of the battery during the charging phase and is sensed by the charging IC. Is there monitoring of the battery temperature during discharging phase in this reference design?
On BQ25703A or BQ25700A, it supports USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 (Type C), and USB_PD power source to perform battery charging, how is the detection of the different USB charging protocols done from the charging IC end? Is there another part with a smaller package/size that supports the above similar charging protocols?
BQ24392 detects the BC compliant adapter. A host is required to interface with BQ24392 to control whether a high or low charging current is to be supplied for charging?
Is there a solution that is standalone and does not require a host?
BQ24050 allows USB charging on 100mA/500mA. I suppose a both USB Type C or micro B connector can be interfaced to BQ24050? Type C connector connecting the USB 2.0 signal only.
Can D-, D+ pins on the BQ24050 detect the type of USB connection and set the USB charging current 100mA/500mA automatically?
Thanks.
