TL4242-Q1: PWM input behaviour

Part Number: TL4242-Q1

Is the behaviour of the part predicatble with PWM input voltages between the maximum low and minimum high voltages? I would like a simple, low-cost method for shutting off the light when the temperature hits a maximum specified by the customer. I've looked at PTC thermistors, but there will be a period prior to cut-off when the PWM input is getting a value in between the specified limits.

  • Hi Philip,

The behavior of the device when PWM is between the maximum low voltage 0.7V and minimum high voltage 2.6V cannot be guaranteed. It may be on or off. It means when PWM voltage is rising, the device will switch from off to on at a voltage between 0.7V and 2.6V. Also, when PWM voltage is falling, the device will also switch from on to off at a voltage between 2.6V to 0.7V.
