TL494: TL494 short protect

Hi team：

One of the customer have a doubt about the short protect of TL494. And I try to find more details. Below is his description.

"The 100W FORWARD DCDC made with TL494 will trigger protection after the output is shorted. Will the switching power recover back to normal after the short circuit is cancelled? If it can be realized, how to design the circuit."

Hello Minqiu,

The short-circuit protection is the internal reference regulator protection where it shuts down the controller when the REF pin drives more than 25mA of current for over 1sec.
Can you please share the 100W design the customer is refering too for better understanding of their application.
