Hi Richard,

I'm not sure what you are asking for here. If you are looking for the amount of power the device is consuming to stay powered on, then you can multiply quiescent current by input voltage. If you want to know the amount of power the device is dissipating from VIN to VOUT, then you can multiply on-resistance by the current squared (P = I^2 x R).

Hi Alex,
I am not looking for power solution in here.
Actually, we have implemented TPS22924CYZPR for our power solution. Our customer requested to calculate actual power consumption for it.
Because we have to use Pc to calculate Tj and make sure it meet component Tj of specification.
I think the formula should be more complicated than (P = I^2 x R).

Hi Richard,

The caveat here is that the on-resistance will increase with increasing temperature, but this is the way to calculate power dissipation for temperature rise in the device.
