BQ51013: bq51013 can not sent ID when the battery is full

Hi Team,

customer use bq51013 and bq500412 as wireless charger and found one question is that bq500412 can not detect the receiver ID when the battery is full.

Does it stop communication when finish charge? or do you have suggestions about how to identify the receiver ID when battery full.

The BQ51013B will provide 5V to a battery charger IC. But it does not have a direct battery full or charge complete feature.

The battery charger can be used to send a charge complete command to the TX. If EN1 and EN2 are pulled high and held high the BQ51013B will send charge complete.

Hi Bill,

Yes, BQ51013B can sent charge complete command. My question is if I remove the battery that charge has completed and replace with another full battery, the BQ500412 can't detect the new battery ID.

The BQ500412 is not looking for an ID from the RX to restart. It will apply power to the RX and then follow commands that the RX gives it.
It will only stop power transfer when the RX commands it to.
