LM10524: How to change Output of buck-1 before star up

Part Number: LM10524
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65023B, TPS650231

Hi Team,

The default output set voltage for Buck-1 is 2.85V. We understand that through SPI we can program register 0x07 to change the voltage. But, we need the output to be 3.3V right from Power up and not change to 3.3V from 2.85V after Power up. Is this possible?

Regards,

Praveen

  • Hi Praveen,

From the datasheet, it looks like the Buck 2 Voltage register has a fixed default of 0x23, so I don't see any way to change it.

    Regards,
    Karl
  • Praveen,

Karl is correct. Buck1 register (0x01) is set to 0x23 (2.85V) by default and is automatically enabled by the sequencer. Technically, there is a 15ms delay that would allow SPI commands to change the voltage, but I believe there are other externally configurable PMICs that would probably meet the needs of the application.

Can you look at the TPS65023B and TPS650231 to see if these PMIC will work in the application?
