TPS62050: maximum output capacitor of TPS62050

My customer is using TPS62050 in their design. And they will add a supcap(0.47F-1.5F) at the output of TPS62050. Does that will cause any problems? Here is the schematic.

-What type of supercap are you using? Could you give me the partnumbers, it makes it easier for me?

-What is the particular reason that brought you to the choice of the TPS62050?

Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks for the quick reply.
The supercap's part number is VINA VEC 2R7 105 QG. They will use two in series.
The reason I choose TPS62050 is that it is suited for systems powered from Li-Ion battery and has low iq.

Hi Yangbo,

this supercap should not be a problem because of the high ESR (200 mohm).
By the way, for this kind of applications I would suggest a different device:

TPS62745 with 400 nA Iq
