TPS61020: TPS61020 at 5V Efficiency

I will like to use TPS61027 with output regulated at 5V. However I could not purchase the EVB for evaluation purpose.

Instead I could only purchase TPS61020 EVB. As such I will adjust the output to 5V. However the specification didn't

mentioned the following for TPS61020 at output 5V (Efficiency vs Output Current, Efficiency vs Input Voltage).

Can I use the graph data of TPS61027 since they are from the same family?

Kindly advice.

yes, the efficiency of the TPS61020 and TPS61027 is the same.

Hi Thank for your response. So I can confirm that for TPS61020 with output adjust to 5V, efficiency is more than 90% when Vin is 1.9V. Efficiency is more than 90% for load of 200mA when VIN/VBAT is 1.8V. Please advice and confirm. Thank you

Hi Yee Kiang Chua,

The efficiency is also related to the inductor, layout and temperature. the efficiency curve of the TPS61027 in the datasheet is tested in the EVM at room temperature. The efficiency of the TPS61020 should be similar with the TPS61027, as these two devices have same MOSFET Rdson and same switching frequency.
