Hi Team,

The datasheet indicates the maximum output current is 100mA, while why it supports 500mA output in flyback application?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your interest.

    The 100mA mentioned in the UCC28880 datasheet refers to the DC current / RMS current through the primary MOSFET. It is not related to the output current of the flyback converter. As long as the primary peak and RMS current remains within the datasheet specs, the output current can be whatever it needs to be.
